The underlying idea in the design of Los Arqueros was to create a course which followed the lie of the land and blended harmoniously with the natural surroundings. Seve took this philosophy to heart when designing the course, and each hole has its own particular personality. The result is a challenging course for the experienced player and a genuine test for those who are new to the game.

Calanova Golf Club
Calanova Golf Club opens its doors in February 2006, designed by Julian Garcia Mayoral. The golf course is in Mijas Golf Valley, 10 kilometres from Fuengirola and 15 kilometres from Marbella city.
The course is an 18-hole, par 72 with 5.866 metres long and has been built according to United States Golf Association (USGA) rules and regulations with regard to the tees, bunkers, drainage and greens.
We can assure you that your players will enjoy this course, where the game strategy plays and important role. It includes, among others, the following features:
Extraordinary landscape views, including Mediterranean Sea and Mijas Mountains, in almost every hole.
Greens have an average area above 450 sqm. Players will find them very exciting due to an extraordinary shaping work. This characteristic will allow a lot of pin positions, from the very simple to the most difficult ones.
There are a variety of fairways layouts. All of them are wide in the ball drop areas and clear, so that the player can see the obstacles before hitting the ball. Being a sloppy terrain, every fairway is quite flat, and then players won’t have very difficult stands in order to hit the ball comfortably. Due to their shape, they will remind you to a Link course.
Tees are spread in different platforms, providing the players the possibility of playing the course with a huge variety of distances. From every single tee players can visualize the shot which makes the flight of the ball spectacular.
At the moment Calanova Golf Club has a 300 sqm temporary club house where you can find a pro shop, changing rooms with showers, reception and a restaurant with spectacular sea views from the terrace.
Cañada
La Cañada golf Club is located in the heart of the Costa del Sol within the Sotogrande residential area nestled between the sea and the mountains and surrounded By a marvellous countryside. La Cañada a first class golf of 18 holes course was inaugurated in 1982.
The first nine were designed by David Thomas the second by Robert Trend Jones Senior. Challenging fairways, quickly greens, large groves of indigenous trees and a spectacular view of the Mediterranean Sea, make up an ideal course for those who want to bask in the sun and enjoy being surrounded by nature.
La Cañada has a excellent 250m long driving rage situated on an horizontal area, 2 putting greens and an approach zone.
Chaparral
With an original design by Pepe Gancedo, this is the only golf course on the Costa del Sol with 6 par 3′s, 6 par 4′s and 6 par 5′s. With a total length of 6000 metres, it offers a wide variety of holes and is quite a challenging course, requiring high levels of accuracy and skill.
The quality of the greens on this course, famous among the Costa del Sol golf clubs, is largely due to the expert care of agronomist Manuel Pantoja, who has not only redesigned a number of the holes but is also responsible for their constant upkeep.
Spectacular is the word which best describes how you feel when playing golf in El Chaparral, a course equipped to host any category of competition, be it amateur or professional.
Dama de Noche
La Duquesa Golf & Country Club
18 holes and entertaining fairways will allow you to enjoy rounds of golf reserved for players who enjoy the sun and Mediterranean breezes. Spectacular tees from which you can see the African continent and neighbouring Marbella.
Teeing off from the 17th hole will convince you that there are very few courses in which nature and design merge so beautifully. We had nothing to do with nature, and as for the design we were fortunate to have Robert Trent Jones, who blended these two elements in such a superb manner.
El Paraíso Golf Club
The layout of the course through this beautiful scenery provides an enjoyable test which is also equally fair, challenging and rewarding for golfers of all abilities. El Paraiso presents generous easy walking fairways set amongst palms and pines, oleanders and olives with meandering streams and two magnificent lakes.
Estepona Golf
Handicap: 28 men/36 ladies
Estepona Golf is a “pay and play” course offering a magnificent natural setting and a course not without difficulties providing for an enjoyable game. Nevertheless, the fairways are wide and the greens are large, so the secret is probably not to be too ambitious. The design fits in with the natural environment of the Sierra Bermeja in the background and the sea can be seen from most holes. The fairway on the 3rd hole falls down sharply with the green despairingly out of reach but do not lose heart. The 7th hole, a par 4 with a raised tee, offers the bold the chance to reach the green, situated 250 metres away. It is a hole which falls away to the left with water on both sides of the green. Each hole represents a new challenge, as should be the case with any course.
La Cañada Golf
Handicap: 28 men/36 ladies
This is the story of a town which wanted a golf course. When they had one they asked for another and then another. Guadiaro used to send its men to the courses in Sotogrande. In this way, they became green keepers and built the golf course. There were far more golfers in Guadiaro than in any another town of its size in Spain. They cut out a mountain track and the boys practiced near the football pitch. Jaime Ortiz Patino took an interest in them, the Town Hall provided the land, Robert Trent Jones took responsibility for the design and La Cañada began to take shape. Ten years later, thanks to economic aid from the “first tee” programme and Jaime Ortiz Patino, the second nine holes course was opened, on this occasion designed by Dave Thomas. A great municipal course.
La Dama de Noche
Handicap: 28 men/36 ladies
It is the first course in Europe suitable for play 24 hours a day, situated between Marbella and Puerto Banus. The 2,700 metre course flanks both sides of the Rio Verde riverbed. La Dama de Noche is noteworthy for its refined appearance, achieved thanks to the palm trees and other species which adorn the course, designed by Enrique Canales.

La Quinta Golf & Country Club
Campo A: 9 Holes* 2.939 Metres* Par 36 * 12 Km – 15 Min
Campo B: 9 Holes* 2.858 Metres* Par 36
Campo C: 9 Holes* 3.006 Metres* Par 36
Handicap: 26 men/34 ladies
This course was designed with a logical layout and opened in 1989. The distances between the tees and greens are short, allowing players a fluent drive. The tees at La Quinta are raised, providing excellent visibility for players. The width of the fairways allows ambitious drives from the tees but punishes bad strokes.
Finca Cortesín
Designed by Cabell Robinson at 6800 meters with 18 holes and more than 100 bunkers this is one of the finest golf courses in Spain. Players have magnificent views of both the mountains and the sea. It’s a highly enjoyable course for beginners and can be a serious challenge for pros.
Guadalmina
Designed by Folco Nardi in 1973, this course runs almost parallel to its southern “brother”. It is shorter and hillier than the south course and has more water obstacles. The course requires straight drives down the middle of the fairways as failure to do so may have one ending up in one of the numerous water hazards hidden in the rough.
This is the oldest course of the Gualdalmina complex. It was designed by Javier Arana in 1959 and is renowned for its difficulty, thus making it more suitable for experienced players.  Fairways are narrow and well protected by old trees requiring more straight shots.
Marbella Golf & Country Club
Marbella Golf & Country Club is located in the heart of the Costa del Sol, just five minutes away from the cosmopolitan city of Marbella. It is considered one of the best and most challenging golf courses in Europe.
Designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Senior in the late 80’s and occupying one of the largest remaining green areas on the Costa del Sol, the 6.000 metre long 18-hole links course with a par of 72, has been imaginatively designed to respect the natural terrain and make the most of the spectacular Mediterranean backdrop.
Each hole is uniquely challenging, although the 9th hole in particular, featuring several lakes and bunkers, is guaranteed to put even the most skilful golfer to the test.
Mijas – Los Olivos
Designed by Robert Trent Senior, the main feature which distinguishes this course from The Lakes is the abundance of trees – hence the name – and its smaller size, as well as fewer water hazards. The greens are smaller, undulating and well defended. Although both are the work of the same designer, there is no doubt there are interesting contrasts between the two courses: if Los Lagos are based on hazards of water and sand, Los Olivos is strategic narrow tree lined fairways and elevated greens.
Mijas – Los Lagos
With its 6,367 metres, this course is the longer of the two which comprise of Mijas Golf. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior, Los Lagos is a ground course with wide fairways and a few forest trees obstacles, but is defended by many bunkers and nine lakes, from which the course gets its name and which easily trap the ball. It is a course with soft movement and large greens. It could be said that the American designer wanted to present a course especially for amateurs, but at the same time, it can present a challenge for the best players.
Los Naranjos Golf Club
Los Naranjos is a typical Robert Trent Jones design with generous fairways and strategically placed bunkers and water hazards. The greens, recently rebuilt with Penn A4-gras, are spacious and slightly undulated. The tees are long and have four markers: red, yellow, white and black with course lengths starting from 5.131 metres and reaching 6.532 metres at its longest.
Since the opening in 1977, Los Naranjos has been the host of several mayor competitions, including the Spanish Open, and is ranked one of the best golf courses in Spain. In 2005 and again in 2008 Los Naranjos was voted “Course of the year” on the Costa del Sol.
